Clean Up Park Ave
Join us for a hands-on day of learning and action! We’ll kick things off with a short seminar on urban planning, community organizing, and how everyday people can shape the future of their neighborhoods. Then, we’ll head out together to clean up Park Avenue, picking up litter and beautifying the area. Afterward, we’ll gather at South Park for a community picnic to celebrate our work and connect with neighbors.

Planting an Urban Food Forest
Be part of something lasting! In partnership with Idea Works Kitchen, we’re transforming an underutilized lot into a thriving urban food forest — planting fruit trees, perennials, and pollinator habitat. Learn by doing, connect with community, and help grow a more resilient future. No gardening experience needed!

Community Potluck & Garden Chat
Good food, good company, and big ideas. Bring a dish to share and meet neighbors for a casual meal. We’ll have a “wish table” where you can share your hopes for greener neighborhoods — from community gardens to safer sidewalks — and we’ll chat about how we can make them happen together. Location TBD - Stay tuned for updates.

Picnic & Plant Swap
Whether you’re a plant lover or just plant-curious, come hang out at our plant swap picnic! Bring plants, seeds, or tools to trade — or just show up for the picnic, meet some friendly faces, and maybe take home a new green friend.

Pop-Up Pollinator Art Day
Get creative for the bees! We’ll have paints, markers, and signs ready for decorating, all celebrating pollinators and the plants they love. Whether you’re a kid or just young at heart, you can create a yard sign for your garden or help make art for local green spaces.

Tea & Tales: Garden Stories Night
Relax with a cup of herbal tea and swap gardening stories with neighbors — from exciting successes to hilarious plant mishaps. No expertise needed — just bring your memories, your imagination, and your curiosity.

Community Seed Swap
Let’s keep local seeds (and stories) alive! Bring seeds to share — veggies, flowers, herbs — or come empty-handed and leave with inspiration. We’ll also share stories of seeds that traveled through generations or across cultures to land in our community.

Neighborhood Green Space Vision Walk
What if your neighborhood had more trees, flowers, and places to gather? Join us for a casual walk to imagine possibilities together — we’ll point out areas ripe for urban greening and hear your ideas for how we could transform them.

Richland County Harvest Festival
Celebrate the growing season with live music, fresh food, hands-on demos, and local vendors showcasing homegrown goods. We hope you join us as we show gratitude for the community, creativity, and connection we all share in Richland County.
