About Us

At Mansfield Permaculture, we are passionate about transforming urban landscapes into permanent, thriving, sustainable ecosystems that enhance community well-being and restore the environment.

With a focus on regenerative urban agroecology, we design and implement landscapes that are not only beautiful and productive but also resilient to climate challenges, empowering communities and fostering long-term ecological health.

Rooted in Diverse Perspectives

Our founder, Jason Ogg, brings a unique perspective on conservation and community development, shaped by a childhood spent in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea, living among a remote tribal community in a tropical Pandanus rainforest. Growing up in this environment produced a deep respect for environmental stewardship, community-building, and equitable access to resources that support collective well-being. These principles of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share form the foundation of everything we do at Mansfield Permaculture.

Our Mission

We aim to empower communities and address food insecurity in Richland County by creating accessible and productive green spaces that promote ecological stewardship and support local food systems. Whether establishing a water-efficient garden, planting a syntropic food forest, or connecting people in our neighborhoods through community events, we restore connections between people and the land, nurturing the systems that sustain our environment and our communities for generations.

Our Approach

With an emphasis on education and collaboration, Mansfield Permaculture is here to help you realize the full potential of your space — be it a small urban lot or a community garden. Through workshops, consultations, and hands-on projects, we equip our clients and partners with the tools and knowledge needed to nurture their own regenerative systems.

Together, we can bring life back into urban spaces, building a more connected, resilient, and equitable future for our community.
